Zlatan’s “Resan” is a story-lined work of art depicting the intensity of the sounds that are hot on the streets of Africa.
Some say Zlatan runs the streets, some say Zlatan is the streets. Kinda like what this album is: an in-between of “a man from the streets” and “a man that owns the streets”.
Seriously, nobody was expecting Zlatan to just up and leave the streets alone, right? He couldn’t even if he wanted to.
His base is the streets, and that’s why on a normal day, he’s a street-hop artist. He could be a rapper, too, depending on the weather. Fact is, that’s all this guy is; the streets.
“Resan” doesn’t have the purest or rawest vibes Zlatan has ever had. Not exactly. However, as a body of work from a guy whose real base is not exactly mainstream, it works just fine.
